Our houseboats rentals can start any day of
the week and can be rented for as little as 3
nights.
Experience
the tranquil Gulf waters of the Florida Keys
from the unique perspective of your own floating
home - docked at your own private tropical
island.
Your houseboat will
be permanently docked at our private Island (aka Charlie's
Island). You receive free exclusive
use of our private tropical island for camping,
picnicking, kayaking, snorkeling adventures and
so much more. We provide a boat for transportation to and from
your island. This worry free site is truly a get
away from it all. This exposed fossilized ancient
reef is beautifully landscaped with trails
wandering throughout. You can enjoy wandering the
paths through the mangrove trees, fishing from the
docks, or snorkeling in the crystal clear waters
around the island. We provide a grill and picnic
tables for your tropical picnic as well as a
hammock for the perfect perch to enjoy the
tropical breezes off the Gulf waters. This is
ideal for people who are interested in a rustic,
camp like adventure! The island is located
in a beautiful, quiet, private cove. There
are no homes along the shoreline of the cove.
The island is surrounded my mangroves from the
south-western edge of Curry Hammock State Park.
Your Florida Keys houseboat and island vacation adventure includes a
2 bedroom / 2 bathroom
Houseboat which sleeps 5-6
guests.
Our houseboats come fully equipped, offering you
a safe and comfortable home base for your
Florida Keys activities - the perfect place
to kick off your shoes, lay back and relax.
We will take time to familiarize you with your
houseboat. As always, we are available to
answer any questions you may have!
We so enjoyed our trip to
Charley’s Island & the house
boat. John & the guys who
helped us get set up went way
above & beyond what we had
expected. The entire
experience was above and beyond
anything we could of imagined.
The solitude and privacy was
amazing, we were greeted by
dolphins in the mornings &
evenings almost every day we
were there. The Pelican’s were
fun to watch, the kayaks were
cool, and there was fishing
poles & snorkel gear. If you
are a camper this is the place
for you, if you are a hotel
person than probably not.
The Island Fish company was
about a 10 minute boat trip and
had amazing food & service. The
Holiday inn express in Marathon
is also a very nice place to
stay while waiting to board your
boat or island.
We told every person we talked
to at all of these places that
Rent My Island is the best kept
secret of the Keys.
Sincerely,
Ken & Theresa

"The
houseboat fit our needs for the “camping”
we did while we were there. We enjoyed
the open-air feel and “back to nature”
aspect of Charlie’s Island. While I
enjoyed using the fishing poles for
catching some fresh “grunts” for lunch and
dinner on a couple of days, we got the
most use out of the kayaks………..definitely
a nice addition. The location of
Charlie’s Island is very good, also. The
view from most angles is of unpopulated or
developed land or water, and the proximity
to civilization is more of a security
blanket than an intrusion. The week seemed
all-too-short. I’ve already shown the
photos to the folks in my office and they
were very impressed/envious. We’ll
definitely keep this option for vacation
in mind for future occasions." |
